In a recent insightful session, the USAID Unity Through Diversity Program joined forces with the USAID Rule of Law Programs to facilitate a thought-provoking meeting. The event featured Mr. Tim Baland, a distinguished former judge from the United States District Court, who engaged with 57 young individuals associated with the USAID Unity Through Diversity program's youth centers.

Taking place on August 1 and August 3 in Akhalkalaki and Akhaltsikhe respectively, the meeting delved into a multifaceted theme. While the spotlight was on U.S. Democracy, the discussion also encompassed pivotal subjects integral to the legal framework. Mr. Baland, drawing upon his extensive experience, elaborated on the intricacies of court structure. He emphasized the indispensability of a just judiciary system, shedding light on its fundamental components and the crucial role of checks and balances.

Throughout the session, Mr. Baland provided insights into various court cases, offering a glimpse into the challenges that had marked his illustrious career.
