Employer: United Nations Association of Georgia (UNA-Georgia, www.una.ge, www.civil.ge)

Job posting date: September 19, 2022

Estimated employment period: November 01, 2022 (tentative) – June 30, 2027

About the program:

The purpose of the “USAID Civic and Economic Integration Program” is to better integrate ethnic and religious minorities into wider Georgian social, political, and economic life to create the environment necessary for the social cohesion and acceptance of diversity required for democracy to function. In so doing, USAID builds Georgia’s resilience to external and internal malign influences that seek to undermine its democratic and economic development, as well as its territorial integrity. To achieve the purpose, the activity is expected to address the following integrated and mutually reinforcing objectives: a. increase participation of ethnic and religious minorities in government policies and services; and b. expand and strengthen mutually beneficial socio-economic linkages between majority and minority communities. Additionally, the project is intended to serve as the central hub of USAID’s integration work in Georgia, with ‘spokes’ extending to existing related programming, to ensure effective leveraging of these complementary development efforts. USAID Civic and Economic Integration Program is a $20 million project launched in July 2022 and is implemented by the United Nations Association of Georgia (UNA-Georgia, www.una.ge).
