United Nations Association of Georgia cooperates with UNA Sweden to promote the movement for the United Nations in the South Caucasus. Based on its experience in researching the civil society trends in Georgia and expertise in building NGO capacities, UNAG supports the development of the UN Associations in Armenia and Azerbaijan. The UNA Armenia has already been formed and UNA Azerbaijan is in the process of establishment.

The South Caucasus Initiative also foresees cooperative projects implemented by the South Caucasus UNAs to promote cultural dialogue and dynamic information-sharing. Specific cooperative efforts would include capacity building activities and networking, internships, as well as cooperation in specific areas, such as joint awareness building campaigns and cooperation in monitoring of Millennium Development Goals' implementation in South Caucasus.

The program  "Confidence Building in South Caucasus" intends to monitor the implementation of MDGs not only in Goergia but also in the region of the South Caucasus.
