Civil development means the involvement of all of a country's citizens in the decision-making and governance process, as well as the ability to advocate for local needs nationally and, if need be, internationally. UNAG head office is located in the capital, Tbilisi, in order to maintain access to top public officials, civil leaders, media, and businesses. We also endeavor to reach out to the regions of Georgia in order to address their local needs. We believe in grassroots activism, and thus in most provinces of the country we prefer to establish outreach through long-term partnerships with local civil society organizations. In some areas, where we maintain larger-scale ongoing programs, field offices are established to ensure quality of implementation, as well as project management and financial accounting standards compatible with UNAG’s general operational guidelines. Currently, UNAG activities cover, in one way or another, seven provinces of Georgia. We maintain an operational network of communication and collaboration with non-governmental counterparts in most major cities and are capable of implementing our activities nationwide. UNAG field offices are located in Gori, Kutaisi, and Batumi.
