UNA Georgia hosted meeting for UNA Sweden and South Caucasus UNAs

UNAG conducted one day working meeting with participation of UNA Georgia, UNA Sweden, UNA Armenia and UNA Azerbaijan Initiative Group. Participant UNAs debriefed their main accomplishments of 2006/07 and discussed the future plans for joint activities and institutional development. Working meeting also focused on ongoing cooperation project between UNA Sweden and South Caucasus UNAs – Confidence Building and MDG Promotion in South Caucasus, supported by Swedish International Development Agency and Forum Syd, and summarized the achievements of the program in South Caucasus countries. South Caucasus UNAs working meetings are being conducted annually, and are designed to support the networking between the partnering organizations, and support the experience sharing among South Caucasian UNAs and increase the civil society involvement in joint regional initiatives. South Caucasus UNA networking is also meant to serve as a step forward towards creating the solid platform for South Caucasus civil society networking and cooperation. The representatives of UNAs overviewed future joint activities within the frames of the current and prospective joint programs.
