Conference on Human Rights and Gender Equality, July 1-8, 2012

United Nations Association of Georgia is soliciting applications for Regional Conference on Human Rights and Gender Equality to be held July 1-8, 2012 in Georgia. The event is intended to provide theoretical insight into human rights and gender related topics. It will offer discussions, role-plays and tailored training courses by field experts and professionals.

Selected participants will be required to take part in all sessions of the conference and as a follow up, conduct peer-to-peer activities/campaigns in their own countries/communities. Fluency in English is required.

United Nations Association of Georgia will reimburse ground transportation expenses and provide participants with accommodation and meals. Young people between the ages of 18-30 from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia with demonstrated interest in sharing experience and knowledge should apply. Applications must be received by June 15, 2012.

The conference is organized in frames of the program “Confidence Building in Georgia”, jointly implemented by the United Nations Association of Georgia and the United Nations Association of Sweden with the financial support of Forum Syd/Sida.
