United Nations Association of Georgia is soliciting applications for Regional Confidence Building and Community Mediation School, to be held June 23-30, 2011 in Tbilisi, Georgia. Young people between the ages of 18-30 from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia  with demonstrated interest in sharing experience and knowledge should apply. Selected participants will be required to take part in all sessions of the Regional Confidence Building School and as a follow up, conduct at least one peer to peer activity in their respective countries/communities. Fluency in English is required. Applications must be received by June 17, 2011.

The participants will explore the details of the third party intervention into the dispute resolution process and learn about the peculiarities of mediation, including its stages and advantages as compared to the traditional dispute resolution processes. As a result, participants will be able to teach how to intervene effectively and mediate disputes and confrontations in communities.  The trainers will assist participants in developing one day training program on community mediation based on which, the participants will be able to conduct trainings or other relevant activities for youth in respective countries.

United Nations Association of Georgia will reimburse ground transportation expenses and provide participants with the accommodation, meals, training materials and a certificate of participation.
