Training For Judges on International Refugees Law and Administrative Law of Georgia

On 3-5 December 2010 training for judges was held in Hotel “Ambassadori” (Kachreti, Georgia) within the framework of the project “Strengthening of Protection Capacity, Local Integration, and Prevention of Secondary Movements”.

The event was jointly organised by UNHCR and the UN Association of Georgia (UNAG) with financial support of the European Union and aimed at raising awareness of Judges as well as staff of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia in the field of Role of Courts in the protection of the rights of refugees and asylum seekers, UNHCR mandate, relevance of case law of European Court of Human Right on asylum procedures etc.
